Diamond Princess

Diamond Princess is a British-registered cruise ship owned and operated by Princess Cruises. The ship was built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries at their shipyard in Nagasaki, Japan, and was launched in 2004. Diamond Princess primarily operates in the Asian, Australian, and Alaskan cruise markets.

Over 700 passengers and crew members were eventually diagnosed with COVID-19, making the Diamond Princess a focal point in the early stages of the pandemic.
