It is part of the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, PA-NJ Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community is primarily residential, with a mix of single-family homes, townhouses, and apartments.

- Eastlawn Gardens is located at 40°44′25″N 75°14′13″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2), all of it land.

- As of the census of 2000, there were 3,307 people, 1,303 households, and 935 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 3,307.0 people per square mile (1,277.1/km²). There were 1,334 housing units at an average density of 1,334.0/sq mi (515.1/km²).
