Extensor hallucis longus
Extensor hallucis longus is a skeletal muscle that originates at middle portion of the fibula on the anterior surface and the interosseous membrane Inserts to dorsal side of the base of the distal phalanx of the Hallux, and is supplied by (artery, nerve) and actions include anterior tibial artery Deep Fibular (peroneal) nerve Extends the big toe and assists in dorsiflexion of the foot at the ankle. Also is a weak invertor.
