Glomerulonephritis (Post-infectious, acute or chronic)

 -- Inflammation of glomerulus. Damaged glomeruli cannot effectively filter waste products from the blood. Acute glomerulonephritis may follow streptococcal infection of the throat or skin. Kidney symptoms usually begin 2 to 3 weeks after strep infection.
