Hasselback Marinara Chicken is a delicious and healthy keto friendly recipe. It is a perfect dish for those who are on a low-carb diet and love the taste of chicken with a tangy marinara sauce.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Cut slits in the chicken breasts, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken.
- Stuff the slits in the chicken with the mozzarella cheese.
- Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with the fresh basil before serving.
