Ippokrateio General Hospital of Thessaloniki (Greek: Ιπποκράτειο Γενικο Νοσοκομείο Θεσσαλονίκης
) is a public hospital located in Thessaloniki, Greece. It was originally constructed in 1908 as the "Hirsch Hospital" with funding from Maurice de Hirsch and designed by architect Pietro Arrigoni. During the Axis occupation of Greece, it was used by the German army. After World War II, it was renamed Ippokrateio General Hospital and became part of the National Health System. Today, it is the largest hospital in Thessaloniki.[1]
