Journal of Family Nursing is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers in the field of Nursing. The journal's editor is Janice M. Bell (University of Calgary). It has been in publication since 1995 and is currently published by SAGE Publications.

Journal of Family Nursing (JFN) is a peer-reviewed, quarterly journal of nursing research, practice, education, and policy issues, as well as empirical and theoretical analyses on the subject of family health. The journal is dedicated to advancing the understanding of family nursing.

Abstracting and indexing[edit | edit source]

Journal of Family Nursing is abstracted and indexed in, among other databases: SCOPUS, and the Social Sciences Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, its 2017 impact factor is 1.326, ranking it 18 out of 114 journals in the category ‘Nursing’ (social science) and 36 out of 116 journals in the category ‘Nursing’ (science).
