Journal of Psychiatric Research is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers in the field of psychiatry. The journal's editor is Alan Frazer (University of Texas Health Science Center). It has been in publication since 1961 and is currently published by Elsevier.

The Journal of Psychiatric Research publishes articles addressing new developments and ongoing research in the field of psychiatry. The journal covers a wide range of topics including psychopathology, neuropsychiatry, biological psychiatry, and psychopharmacology.
