Journal of Thoracic Disease (JTD) is a peer-reviewed, open access, medical journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical studies related to thoracic diseases, including but not limited to diseases of the lung, heart, esophagus, and mediastinum. The journal is published monthly and is indexed in the PubMed database.

The Journal of Thoracic Disease was established in 2009 and is published by the AME Publishing Company. The journal's editor-in-chief is Ning Li, a professor of thoracic surgery at the Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing, China. The journal is affiliated with the Chinese Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and the Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Health.

The journal covers a wide range of topics in thoracic disease, including pulmonology, cardiology, thoracic surgery, respiratory therapy, and critical care medicine. It also publishes articles on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of thoracic diseases, as well as related basic science research.

The Journal of Thoracic Disease is abstracted and indexed in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and the Science Citation Index Expanded. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2019 impact factor of 2.947.
