Meagher County is a county located in the U.S. state of Montana. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,891. Its county seat is White Sulphur Springs. The county was named for Thomas Francis Meagher, a Civil War general and acting governor of the Montana Territory.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Meagher County spans 2,395 square miles, of which 2,392 square miles is land and 3.2 square miles is water. The county is bordered by Cascade County to the north, Wheatland County to the east, Sweet Grass County and Park County to the south, and Gallatin County and Broadwater County to the west.
