Nathaniel Newnham-Davis (6 November 1854 – 28 May 1917), was a British journalist, food writer, and soldier.

Newnham-Davis was born on 6 November 1854. He was educated at Eton College and the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.

Career[edit | edit source]

Newnham-Davis started his career as a soldier and served in the British Army for 20 years. After retiring from the army, he became a journalist and food writer. He wrote for several publications including The Pall Mall Gazette and The Sportsman. He was also the author of several books on food and dining.

Death[edit | edit source]

Newnham-Davis died on 28 May 1917.
