TMMC Cancer Center

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellness Encyclopedia

TMMC Cancer Center is a specialized cancer hospital located in Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Dong Thap, Vietnam. It is the first medical center of its kind in the country and was founded by Dr. Dilshaad Ali, the founder and President of TMMC Healthcare. The center aims to provide accessible oncology treatment for Vietnamese patients and is part of a private healthcare project between Vietnam and Japan.

Cancer is a significant cause of mortality in Vietnam, and TMMC Cancer Center plays a crucial role in addressing this issue. The center organizes public seminars to raise awareness about various types of cancer, including breast cancer, cervical cancer, lung cancer, and liver cancer. It is also actively involved in promoting the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as advocated by the World Health Organization. Additionally, the center offers free screening tests for tens of thousands of patients.

In 2014, TMMC Cancer Center received investment from the Japanese Sojitz Corporation and its medical partner, Capital Medica, to develop a strategic Center of Excellence. This partnership aims to enhance the quality of cancer care and treatment in Vietnam. The project was initiated by Dr. Dilshaad Ali and Tran Quoc Bao, the Group Business Development Director of TMMC Healthcare.

With its commitment to providing specialized cancer care and raising awareness about cancer prevention, TMMC Cancer Center is making a significant impact on the healthcare landscape in Vietnam.
