American Seafoods is one of the largest seafood companies in North America and one of the largest harvesters of fish in the world. Based in Seattle, Washington, American Seafoods operates a fleet of vessels in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands.

American Seafoods was established in 1988 by a group of investors led by Norwegian businessman Kjell Inge Røkke. The company grew rapidly through the acquisition of several other seafood companies and fishing vessels.

American Seafoods' primary operations are in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands, where it harvests Alaska pollock, Pacific cod, and yellowfin sole. The company's fleet of vessels includes catcher-processors, which catch the fish and process it on board, and catcher vessels, which deliver the fish to shore-based processing plants.
