Bat-borne virus - Bats are known to carry a variety of viruses, some of which can be transmitted to humans. These include viruses such as the Nipah virus, which can cause severe disease in humans and has a high mortality rate. Other bat-borne viruses include the Ebola virus, Marburg virus, and SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. It is important to avoid contact with sick bats and practice proper hygiene when handling bats or bat droppings to reduce the risk of infection.
