Color constancy is the feature of the human visual system that ensures the perceived color of objects remains relatively constant under varying illumination conditions. This phenomenon allows humans to recognize colors of objects consistently in different types of light sources, such as sunlight, fluorescent light, or shadow. Despite changes in the spectral composition of the light, color constancy helps us perceive the colors of objects as being stable and unchanging.
