Elfriede Lohse-Wächtler (4 November 1899 – 31 July 1940) was a German artist known for her paintings and drawings. She was born in Dresden, Germany, and studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts.

Lohse-Wächtler was born on 4 November 1899 in Dresden, Germany. She showed an early talent for art and went on to study at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts.
During her career, Lohse-Wächtler developed a unique style characterized by vibrant colors and expressive brushwork. Her works often depicted scenes of everyday life, portraits, and landscapes.
Tragically, Lohse-Wächtler's life was cut short when she was declared mentally ill by the Nazi regime and was eventually murdered in the psychiatric hospital in Pirna on 31 July 1940.
