History[edit | edit source]

The Glenburgie Distillery was established in 1810 by William Paul under the name Kilnflat. The distillery was renamed Glenburgie in 1871. Over the years, the distillery has undergone several changes in ownership and has been refurbished multiple times. The most recent refurbishment took place in 2004, when the distillery was completely rebuilt.

Production[edit | edit source]

Glenburgie Distillery uses traditional methods of whisky production. The distillery sources its water from the Ben Rinnes mountain range. The malted barley used in production is sourced from the central part of Scotland. The distillery has two wash stills and two spirit stills, with a total production capacity of over 4 million litres of spirit per year.

Products[edit | edit source]

The core product of Glenburgie Distillery is the Glenburgie Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This whisky is known for its fruity and spicy character, with notes of apple, pear, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The distillery also produces a limited edition 15-year-old single malt, which is matured in American oak casks.
