The Hershey Bears are a professional ice hockey team based in Hershey, Pennsylvania. They are currently a member of the American Hockey League (AHL) and are the minor league affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Hershey Bears were founded in 1932, making them one of the oldest professional hockey teams in North America. The team was originally known as the Hershey B'ars, but changed their name to the Bears in 1936. The team has a rich history, with numerous Calder Cup championships and a strong fan base in the Hershey area.

The Hershey Bears play their home games at the Giant Center, a 10,500-seat arena located in Hershey. The team's colors are chocolate brown, white, and gold, reflecting the town's famous Hershey's chocolate heritage. The team's mascot is named Coco, a playful bear who entertains fans during games.

The team hosts numerous charity events throughout the year, including the annual Teddy Bear Toss, where fans are encouraged to throw stuffed animals onto the ice after the team's first goal. The stuffed animals are then donated to local charities.
