Iron Cross is a strength move in gymnastics that is performed on the rings. It requires the gymnast to hold their body extended horizontally while their arms are outstretched to the sides, forming a cross shape. This move demonstrates significant strength, balance, and control, and is one of the most recognized skills in men's gymnastics. The Iron Cross is classified under the Still Rings apparatus, one of the six men's Olympic gymnastics events.

To perform an Iron Cross, the gymnast must first assume a support position on the rings, with the rings turned out and the body straight. From this position, the gymnast slowly lowers their body by extending the arms to the sides until they are horizontal to the floor, all while keeping the body in a straight line. The arms must remain straight, and the shoulders are lowered to increase the leverage and difficulty of the hold. The gymnast must hold this position, typically for at least two seconds during competition, to demonstrate control before transitioning into another element or dismounting.
