Jackson C. Frank (March 2, 1943 – March 3, 1999) was an American folk singer-songwriter. He was born in Buffalo, New York and is best known for his self-titled album Jackson C. Frank.

Jackson Carey Frank was born on March 2, 1943, in Buffalo, New York. He faced a tragic childhood after a furnace explosion at his elementary school killed 15 of his classmates and left him severely injured. This event had a lasting impact on his life and music.
Music Career[edit | edit source]
Frank's music career began in the mid-1960s when he moved to England. He released his only studio album, Jackson C. Frank, in 1965. The album received critical acclaim but commercial success eluded him. Despite this, Frank's work has since gained a cult following.
Later Life and Legacy[edit | edit source]
After struggling with mental health issues and homelessness, Frank's music faded into obscurity. He passed away on March 3, 1999, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Despite his short-lived career, his influence on the folk music scene has endured.
