Katherine L. Adams

Katherine L. Adams is an American attorney and corporate executive. She currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Apple Inc., a position she has held since 2017. Prior to joining Apple, Adams worked for Honeywell as their General Counsel and Senior Vice President.

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Adams was born and raised in the United States. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Brown University, an Ivy League institution renowned for its rigorous academic programs. She then pursued her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School, one of the top law schools in the country.

Career[edit | edit source]

Adams began her legal career as a clerk for the Honorable Richard D. Cudahy at the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. She then worked as a trial attorney for the United States Department of Justice before transitioning into corporate law.

In 2003, Adams joined Honeywell, a multinational conglomerate that produces a variety of commercial and consumer products. As the company's General Counsel and Senior Vice President, she was responsible for all of Honeywell's legal affairs worldwide.

In 2017, Adams was appointed as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Apple Inc., one of the world's largest technology companies. In this role, she oversees all legal matters, including corporate governance, intellectual property, litigation and securities compliance, as well as government affairs.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

Adams is known for her commitment to privacy and environmental sustainability. She has been instrumental in Apple's efforts to minimize its environmental impact and has advocated for stronger privacy protections for consumers.
