Keto BLT with Cloud Bread[edit]
Keto BLT with Cloud Bread is a delicious, low-carb alternative to the traditional BLT sandwich. The cloud bread, made from eggs and cream cheese, serves as a fluffy, light substitute for regular bread. This recipe is perfect for those following a Ketogenic diet.
Ingredients[edit]
For the Cloud Bread[edit]
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the BLT[edit]
- 4 slices of bacon
- 2 leaves of lettuce
- 2 slices of tomato
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
Instructions[edit]
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix the egg yolks, cream cheese, and salt until smooth.
- Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites until well combined.
- Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming 4 rounds.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the cloud bread is baking, cook the bacon until crispy.
- Assemble the BLT by spreading mayonnaise on one side of two cloud breads, then layering with bacon, lettuce, and tomato.
