Lagoão

Lagoão is a municipality located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It is a region known for its diverse flora and fauna, and its unique climate conditions. The municipality is part of the microregion of Soledade.

Lagoão is situated in the northeastern part of Rio Grande do Sul. The municipality covers an area of approximately 475.61 square kilometers. It is bordered by the municipalities of Soledade, Espumoso, and Barros Cassal. The region is characterized by its flat terrain, with few hills and valleys.

Climate[edit | edit source]

The climate in Lagoão is classified as subtropical. The region experiences warm summers and mild winters, with an average annual temperature of around 19°C. Rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year, with an average annual precipitation of approximately 1,800 millimeters.

Flora and Fauna[edit | edit source]

The region is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. The vegetation is predominantly composed of Atlantic Forest, with patches of Araucaria forest. The fauna includes a variety of bird species, as well as mammals such as the pampas deer and the maned wolf.

Healthcare in Lagoão is provided by a network of public and private healthcare facilities. The municipality has a number of primary healthcare clinics, as well as a hospital that provides secondary and tertiary care. The region also has several pharmacies and private medical practices.
