List of Bakers is a comprehensive compilation of notable individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of baking. Baking is a method of preparing food that uses dry heat, typically in an oven, but can also be done in hot ashes, or on hot stones. The most common baked item is bread but many other types of foods are baked as well.

Julia Child[edit | edit source]

Julia Child was an American chef, author, and television personality. She is recognized for bringing French cuisine to the American public with her debut cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking, and her subsequent television programs, the most notable of which was The French Chef, which premiered in 1963.

Paul Hollywood[edit | edit source]

Paul Hollywood is an English celebrity chef and television presenter, best known for being a judge on The Great British Bake Off. He began his career at his father's bakery as a teenager and went on to serve as head baker at a number of hotels around Britain and internationally.

Mary Berry[edit | edit source]

Mary Berry is a British food writer and television presenter. Berry is a prolific author of books on cooking and has been a judge on several television series, including The Great British Bake Off.

Dorie Greenspan[edit | edit source]

Dorie Greenspan is an American author and columnist, best known for her cookbooks and culinary journalism. Her work focuses primarily on baking.

Richard Bertinet[edit | edit source]

Richard Bertinet is a Breton baker and chef living in Bath, England. He runs the Bertinet Kitchen Cookery School.
