Luigi Ferraro

Luigi Ferraro (1914–2006) was an Italian diver, underwater demolition expert, and secret agent during World War II. He is best known for his daring underwater missions that significantly contributed to the Allied Forces' victory in the war.

Luigi Ferraro was born on 15 May 1914 in Turin, Italy. He developed a passion for diving at a young age and pursued it as a career, becoming one of the most skilled divers in Italy.

During World War II, Ferraro was recruited by the Italian Navy to serve as an underwater demolition expert. He was involved in several high-risk missions, including the sinking of enemy ships and the destruction of underwater installations. His most notable mission was the sinking of the British battleship HMS Valiant in Alexandria harbour in 1941.
