History

The Rezidor Hotel Group was founded in 1960 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company initially operated as a subsidiary of SAS Group, a Scandinavian airline company. In 1994, Rezidor signed a master franchise agreement with Carlson Hotels, which allowed the company to expand its operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

In 2006, Rezidor Hotel Group was listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, marking a significant milestone in the company's history. In 2012, the company became a fully owned subsidiary of the Radisson Hotel Group.
