Tangerhütte-Land[edit | edit source]

Tangerhütte-Land is a former municipality in the district of Stendal, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was named after the town of Tangerhütte, which served as its administrative center. The municipality was disbanded in 2010, and its constituent villages were incorporated into the town of Tangerhütte.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Tangerhütte-Land was located in the northeastern part of Saxony-Anhalt, near the Elbe River. The region is characterized by its flat landscape, with numerous streams and rivers flowing through it. The area is predominantly rural, with agriculture being the main economic activity.

History[edit | edit source]

The municipality of Tangerhütte-Land was established in 2005, as part of a municipal reform in Saxony-Anhalt. It included several villages that were previously independent municipalities. In 2010, Tangerhütte-Land was disbanded, and its constituent villages were incorporated into the town of Tangerhütte.
