ZeniMax Media Inc. was an American video game publisher and media company. Founded in 1999 by Robert A. Altman and Christopher Weaver, it served as the parent company for several subsidiaries that developed or published video games. ZeniMax Media was headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. The company played a significant role in the video game industry, owning several major studios, including Bethesda Softworks, which is well-known for popular series such as The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
